eWinery Solutions Content Management system is provided entirely through your Internet browser and supports Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Firefox, and Netscape. There is no need to download software. You create new pages and edit existing pages without ever leaving your browser window.
What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get Editor
eWinery's WYSIWYG Rich Text Editor is XHTML compliant and meets with W3C Standards. Our editing tools operate in a similar manner to Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office Applications. Content can be entered and formatted in much the same way. Our tool bar features copy and paste, bold, italic, and bullet features like those found in Microsoft Word. Members of your team can easily insert images, hyperlinks, flash files, web forms, or special characters, while more technical users have the freedom to edit in straight HTML if preferred. Our style settings allow users to select font styles from a list of styles that were created specifically for your website based on your designer’s input and via the use of Cascading Style Sheets. This is also where H1, H2, and H3 headlines are set. Spell checking ensures that all content is accurate.
Tree Component
Our directory “tree” makes it easy to navigate your website. The tree is expandable to an infinite level and the resulting intuitive navigational structure dramatically enhances the visitor experience. Visitors can easily navigate the website and discover information based on topics of interest and text links mean that pages are easily found by search engines. The interface uses expandable and collapsible page nodes that match the Web site navigation structure. The tree format serves both small and large wineries well.
Cascading Style Sheets
The use of cascading style sheets ensures a consistent look throughout the site. Styles, fonts, colors, and sizes are set on a site-wide basis.
Rich Media Upload
An image management feature plugs into the WYSIWYG editor – allowing users to upload images, PDF’s, Flash files, and video clips directly to the website. Digital assets only need to be uploaded and stored once. They can then be referenced from any section of your website and used in different places with consistency. Each item can also be customized with ALT text, hyperlinks, borders, and spacing.
Hyperlink Generator
Use our hyperlink generator to add internal, external, and email links to your web site. The link generator allows you to choose whether or not you would like to open the link in a new browser window. Add links to internal or external content or to digital assets such as PDF’s, Word Documents, Images, Excel Spreadsheets
Page Properties
Advanced page property features allow for the use of password protection on specified pages. Grant access based on member type, activate or deactivate pages, create search engine friendly marketing URLs, set page start and expiration dates for various pages, and set "check up" dates for specified pages. Our system will send automated reminders for you to check content of specified pages on your "check up" dates.
Search Engine Optimization
All pages, whether they are product categories, individual products or wine club pages are structured for search engine optimization. By default, the editor grabs page title, keywords, and description from published page content. These defaults are easily overridden by those wishing to adopt a more pro-active approach to their SEO plan. Fields are available for easy insertion of page title, keywords, and meta description. We also help you to speed up the discovery of your website by automatically generating a Google sitemap. Sitemaps allow you to tell Google about your pages as soon as they change. They also help Google to discover pages that aren’t easily found by following links.
